Yes, my point is that it is a bad design when used in combination with
a source code control system. I realize that Aldor is old enough that
it has not always been under source code control and also has been
under source code control systems with quite different features so it
is not surprising that there some legacy ways of doing things that may
not be appropriate to the current environment. Unless there is a good
reason to retain them however I think most of these legacies and
idiosyncrasies are better off forgotten.
