Well offhand it doesn't sound like a good idea - but I probably don't
have enough information about what you are suggesting. Maybe you could
take some time to explain what you have in mind? I agree that
duplication of files in different parts of the source tree is not a
good thing but what does that have to do with "letting the users
choose at runtime which features they want"?
