http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.4/svn.advanced.externals.html
I haven't used that myself, but Christian has in his AldorUnit project.
He references his own LibModel project.
You can investigate starting from
http://www.risc.uni-linz.ac.at/software/aldor/project.php?id=AldorUnit
Just try
svn proplist -v svn://svn.risc.uni-linz.ac.at/caistlei/aldorunit
